Piezovelocity sensors

Piezoelectric velocity sensors offer the convenience and performance of a direct velocity output without the drawbacks of other styles of velocity sensors.

Piezoelectric velocity sensors employ traditional accelerometer structure with internal signal conditioning to transduce mechanical motion into an electrical signal proportional to velocity. Models available :-

1) Wilcoxon 793V
Top exit, premium, case isolated, MIL-C-5015 connector, 100 mV/in/sec, ±5% sensitivity tolerance. Features :-
  • Corrosion resistant
  • Hermetic seal
  • Ground isolated
  • Rugged design
  • ESD protection

4) Wilcoxon 893V
Top exit, case isolated, 2-pin MIL-C-5015 connector, 100 mV/in/sec piezoelectric velocity sensor. Features :-
  • Hermetic seal
  • Eliminates distortion caused by high frequency signals
  • Ultra low-noise electronics for clear signals at low vibration levels
  • Reverse wiring protection
  • Corrosion resistant stainless steel case
Download the datasheet here.

5) Wilcoxon 786V
With a wide frequency response range (1-12,000 Hz at +/- 3dB), the 786V can capture signs of the most common developing faults - imbalance, misalignment, looseness - on rotating machines.

A 100 mV/in/sec sensitivity and +/-5% sensitivity tolerance make for excellent measurement accuracy, and the sensor's rugged design ensures long-term reliability in industrial installations.

Key features information and benefits :-
  • Velocity vibration measurements can be easily compared against ISO standards
  • Ideal for monitoring common mid-frequency faults – imbalance, misalignment, looseness
  • Eliminates noise influences from external integrators
  • More compact size than legacy sensors
  • Lower cost without loss of reliability or performance
